Why we exist
Most project trouble starts before the first tool comes out.
Unclear goals, a budget with no cushion, a vague scope, and a rushed hiring decision cause more regret than any shingle or paint color. Trowelo was created to put the planning knowledge that experienced renovators carry in their heads into plain language anyone can use.
We write practical, even-handed guides about planning projects, understanding costs, choosing professionals, and dealing with permits. We explain trade-offs and the questions worth asking. We don’t sell anything and we don’t push you toward a product or a company.

Is Trowelo a contractor or a referral service?
No. Trowelo is an information website. We are not a contractor, broker, lender, or referral service. We do not provide quotes, estimates, or bids, we do not sell leads, and we do not connect you with contractors.
Does it cost anything?
No. The guides are free to read, and the tips program is free. Message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply if you choose to receive text messages.
Will contractors contact me because I filled out your form?
Not because of Trowelo. We do not share your name, phone number, email, or project details with contractors or other third parties for their marketing.
Do I have to agree to receive texts?
No. The two text message boxes on our form are optional and unchecked by default. Consent is not a condition of purchase or of requesting information.
How do I stop texts?
